November Bernardo Bay, Escondido, California, 22 November 2009
Cheryl and I were on a San Dieguito River Park sponsored hike on the Piedras Pintados (Painted Rocks) trail to the south of Lake Hodges at Bernardo Bay. Mike Thacker was an excellent hike leader.
Lake Hodges is low at this time of year. Two tributaries can be seen flowing into the lake. One is at the lower left and the other is joining it. flowing from the right.
The hike was beautiful. The weather perfect. About 20 hikers. The signage on the hike as great. I will return in the spring, will take a full day, and will photograph the signage and the plants and trees.
Many people were out enjoying the trails, either hiking or biking.
I15 is in the upper right quadrant of this image.
How many hikers/bikers do you count. I think I see 19
