Morning Spider Web. Escondido, California. 25 October 2009.
I was on a knoll, overlooking Lake Hodges...except I couldn't see Lake Hodges. The morning fog was still too thick. As I waited I looked around and spotted this jewelled web.
Have you ever wondered if a spider web is sticky when it's wet? I looked around and did not see the spider. I respectfully wiggled the web...still no spider. Perhaps she was warm and cozy in a little hole, waiting for the morning sun.
