Hodges Flume (close). San Dieguito River Park, California. 10 April 2009.
The Hodges Flume was used to transport water between Lake Hodges, created by the Lake Hodges Dam, and the Rancho Santa Fe Reservoir and community. The flume was constructed in 1917-1919 and served for many years. It is no longer used to transport water, having been replaced by a concrete pipe. The Hodges Flume is a uique reminder of the days not so distant.
