This images was captured from the top of Bernardo Mountain looking to the west (approximately).
In this image we see several things: Across the lake on top of the ridge is a home (I've heard that it belongs to the founder of Ralph's Grocery). The public launch ramp is on the right side of the image. My wife (raised in Escondido) recalls seeing Lake Hodges so low that there was no water at the launch ramps. We see that it is spring...lots of green and flowers. If there had been no coastal fog we would be able to see the ocean at approximately Del Mar.
In the lower portion of the left side of the image we see the San Dieguito River Park trail that traverses the north side of Lake Hodges.
