This image is 1 of 2 with the other image being West End Lake Hodges. Displayed together these two images show all of Lake Hodges that is visible from the top of Bernardo Mountain.
The feature in this East End Lake Hodges image is the ribbon bridge that is nearing completion just this side of Interstate 15. It should also be noted that the With Creek Fire ravaged this territory in October 2007. As you can see the rebound is beautiful, with abundant flowers and grasses. The lower right of this image shows that the fire reached the summit of Bernardo Mountain.
Trails (of the San Dieguito River Park trail system) can be seen on the shoreline of Lake Hodges.
