1,145 elevation. As far as mountains go Bernardo Mountain is not much of a mountain. In the Escondido, California area, however, it is a dominant feature. Ive captured panoramas from the top of Bernardo Mountain also so know that the views are to the ocean to the west to the upper end of the watershed at Vulcan Mountain, CA. Lake Hodges, both in the foreground, and wrapping around the backside of Bernardo Mountain, is a reservoir and a component of the San Diego water system. For some reason the clouds were really this way. Ive not seen clouds like this since.
